Fellow combat Navy Corpsmen talk about their experiences when they served with their Marines, in the jungles of Vietnam in 1968-1969. Sometimes difficult to talk about, but always heart wrenching, these stories are true and a reminder of the consequences of a war that has initiated PTS, various cancers and emotional trauma that they still battle.
Bottom Dogs
Bottom Dogs is a story of three characters, a boy from Mexico, an old groom and a deformed colt born in the 1950’s, who managed to become a fan favorite on the race track. Life was a struggle for all three. There was an accident, a lengthy battle with an insurance company and a life that was cut short because of it. Only one reaches the finish line, because of the other two.
A Tail Among Tales
The stories in this anthology will keep you wondering until the very last paragraph. If you think you have the plot figured out early in the story, take caution; you may be pleasantly surprised in the end.
The author's notes at the end of the stories relate the stories to the real events from which they were created. Keep in mind the words of Phaedrus, "Things are not always what they seem."

ABOUT
Bill Sheehan is a Veteran of the US Navy Hospital Corps. He served at the Naval Hospital in
Rota, Spain, The Naval Ordinance Station Dispensary in Indianhead, MD, the 2nd Marine
Division Headquarters at Camp LeJeune, NC, and from 1968-1969 in the Republic of Vietnam
as a Combat Corpsman with 1st Battalion, 1st Marines. A filmmaker since 1978, when he joined
the crew of Michael Landon in Hollywood, Bill has worked as a Camera Assistant, Camera
Operator, and Cinematographer on TV series, MOW, Music Videos and feature films. He has
worked as a Theatrical Lighting Designer, a Pyrotechnic Designer and a Production Manager. In
local television, he has served as a Commercial Production Manager, Avid Editor and a
Promotions Director. At the University level, he has served as a Production Manager, a
Filmmaker and an Audio/Visual Director for The Ohio State University, UCLA, Columbia
University and Harvard University. Currently he is writing young adult historical fiction,
